Kind words about Bill.

“I’ve worked with Bill for almost 10 years now and he keeps getting better! Not only are his photos completely fantastic, he is a real pleasure to have on campus. He brings energy and fun to every shoot we work with him on and that really helps to create the relaxed atmosphere that is so crucial for getting great photography. One of the most impressive things about Bill (apart from his incredible photography) is his ability to put people at ease and help people to have fun. This is a real skill and it makes a huge difference. I can’t recommend him highly enough.”

“Over the last decade, Bill has played a lead role in defining the aesthetic of the Arts University brand, on and off-line. And consequently he can take a lot of the credit for our success. Not just in terms of strong recruitment but also winning recognition from the HE marketing industry in the form of HEIST Golds for Best Prospectus and Best University Website. Whatever the brief, he consistently pulls great shots out of thin air. And he's a delight to work with, not just a great photographer but as one of the team.”

“You only have to look at Bill’s portfolio to see what a fantastic photographer he is – but with so many technically excellent photographers to choose from, what is it that sets him apart? For me, it’s his ability to genuinely connect and establish a rapport with just about anyone! I have frequently witnessed Bill’s gentle, easy-going and patient disposition win over the most reluctant and difficult of subjects; he is equally reassuring to the client - calm, flexible and detail-oriented at all times. Booking Bill takes the stress out of the shoot; he’s easily one of my favourite people in the world to work with.”

"Bill captures the essence of our English cidermaker, and these photos share both the big picture and the nuances of our company's story. After only a month on our website, the photos helped to double web traffic and to keep viewers for a longer amount of time. They also make explaining our cider even easier and more fun because our customers experience the people and places behind them. Working trans-Atlantically has never been so easy!"
David Dolginow, co-founder, Shacksbury Cider, Vermont, USA

“Working with Bill was a seamless process from start to finish, he was open to all ideas we had and also made recommendations based on his own experience of what would work and wouldn’t. The partnership was very collaborative which helped us to combine touristic objectives, editorial goals and video creation in an authentic way which was engaging and interesting to the audience. Naturally when involving a number of parties there were a number of changes along the way which Bill took in his stride and was very much appreciated.”

"We have worked with Bill for a number of years now on various projects including lifestyle photoshoots, interviews/cast studies and capturing video footage at events. Bill is always so lovely to work with, he listens to the brief given but also makes recommendations of what can enhance a shot or a scene to get the most out of each day. I would highly recommend Bill and look forward to working with him more in the future."

"I had the pleasure of working with Bill on photography and video trips to Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia to gather stories based around the animals and people we (Brooke) work alongside. Our trips are always challenging with demanding schedules, covering long distances and often in high temperatures. Despite all this, Bill never fails to keep spirits high, put a smile on everyone’s face and capture great shots. One of Bill’s strengths as a photographer is building instant connections with his subjects and putting people at ease by making the effort to relate. When working with animals, especially horses, cameras can be tricky but Bill works calmly and as unobtrusively as possible, absorbing tips from us and always asking for more to help him get the best shots. Since printing some of Bill’s work in supporter newsletters, we have received donations and lovely comments from supporters based on the images alone. Bill is one of the most compassionate photographers I have ever worked with and I don’t doubt he will continue to shine and work just as hard wherever his next adventure takes him."
